Now part of the Martin Van Buren National Historic Site, the eighth president of the United States purchased an estate 20 miles south of Albany, NY, which he named Lindenwald. The 36-room mansion was previously owned by the Van Ness Family, and was where iconic American author, Washington Irving, wrote most of his book, A History Of New York. This 4 1/4” solid smooth red oak has a rich dark color featuring an updated version of a look that would fit in any stately manor.
